Already this year, 54 CASA volunteers have advocated for 127 children navigating the child welfare system across our three counties. But, behind every number is a child’s story. This year, a teen who once lived in isolation and medical neglect walked across the graduation stage because a CASA fought for her right to learn and heal. Siblings with complex medical needs are thriving in school because their advocate learned every detail of their care and empowered the adults around them to do the same. A young child, long separated from his family, was finally reunited with them after a CASA stepped in to move the stalled case forward. A teen abandoned by their adoptive parent now has a home, a job, and the promise of a family again.
