During a complicated hearing, the CASA volunteer was able to testify to seeing the child say "I love you" to her aunt. This child's aunt was the only person that anyone involved in the case had heard her say that to, including her parents. This information ended up being crucial to the trial because it provided the Judge with the context they needed to make decisions in the child's best interest. Without CASA's advocacy, the case may have dragged on much longer, leaving this child without the permanency, stability, and finality she needed to be able to grow, learn, and thrive.
